Wengen, one of the largest mountain health resorts in the Berner Oberland, is situated on a sunny, wind-sheltered plateau at the foot of the Jungfrau mountain. The village can’t be reached by motorised vehicles, so it is free from cars and dust. Wengen is a recognised “climate health resort” (stimulant level 2) at a medium altitude (1,300 m), with long sunshine hours, dry, clean air and no extreme temperatures in summer or winter.
